Two of the best stories in the NFL this year match up in the Pacific Northwest when the Seattle Seahawks host the New York Giants in Week 8.

Both teams come off straight up wins as road underdogs, with the Giants rallying once again late to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars, while the Seahawks thumped the Los Angeles Chargers in their shiny Southern California palace filled with Seattle fans.

Both teams were expected to be in full rebuild mode at the start of the season, but now both have their sights set on a playoff birth as we approach the midway point. Who has the edge this Sunday?

Here are the latest odds from Seattle.

Giants vs. Seahawks Prediction and Pick

The New York Giants might make me eat a big old pile of crow for two weeks in a row, but I'm fully prepared to do just that.

Last week, I backed the Jaguars at home against a Giants team that is now 5-1 in single possession matchups this season, and 6-1 on the season. The line continuously moved away from New York, as sharps and analysts all thought New York's luck was set to run out. Instead, they won outright and covered again.

Maybe we've undervalued the actual talent still on this Seattle roster. Geno Smith hasn't looked shaky at any point this season, the deep ball is on point, and Kenneth Walker III is the favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year! He's carried the ball only 67 times so far this season, but has 12 rushes over 20-plus yards. Basically, less than every six carries, Walker III takes it more than a fifth of the football field or longer!

The health of D.K. Metcalf will be worthwhile, but it doesn't seem to be scaring off the professionals, who have taken this line up to -2.5 and -3 at several books.

Furthermore, New York now heads out on the road from complete opposite ends of the country; flying from Jacksonville to New York, and then out to Seattle.

While you still can, take Seattle at -2.5 before the -3 is the new line everywhere.
