The New York Giants enter a new era under head coach Brian Daboll, and their journey starts in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, who finished with the No. 1 seed in the AFC last season.

The Titans revamped their offense, adding receivers Robert Woods and Treylon Burks while trading away A.J. Brown and letting Julio Jones walk. Will Ryan Tannehill be able to do enough to take the load off of Derrick Henry in 2022?

It remains to be seen, and the Titans also suffered a major blow to their defense with pass rusher Harold Landry tearing his ACL.

That should make things a little easier on Daniel Jones and play caller Mike Kafka in Week 1.

So, how should we wager on the Giants-Titans matchup? Let’s check out the odds from FanDuel Sportsbook:

Giants vs. Titans Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Giants +5.5 (-110)
  • Titans -5.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Giants: +198
  • Titans: -240

Total:

  • 43.5 (Over -114/Under -106)

Titans vs. Giants Betting Trends

  • Mike Vrabel is 1-3 ATS in Week 1 in his coaching career.
  • Daniel Jones is 11-4 ATS in his career as a road underdog.
  • The UNDER was 11-5-1 in the Giants’ 17 games last season.
  • The UNDER was 10-8 in the Titans’ 18 games last season.
  • The Titans are 9-12-1 ATS as home favorites under Mike Vrabel.

Giants vs. Titans Prediction and Pick

I’m not sold on either of these teams in the 2022 season, mainly because of the major questions on the offensive side of the ball.

Daniel Jones has underachieved so far in his NFL career, and even with Daboll and Kafka in the building, I’m not sure he will show improvements given one of his biggest flaws is his constant turnovers. Hopefully the Giants find a way to best use Kenny Golladay and Saquon Barkley in the 2022 season to take some pressure off Jones.

For what it’s worth, Jones has done a solid job covering the spread as a road dog in his career, and that may come in handy against a Titans team that gets out to slow starts under Vrabel.

Last season, Tennessee was blown out 38-13 at home by the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, and the offense is substantially worse with Brown now in Philadelphia.

If Derrick Henry stays healthy the Titans should be fine, but will he alone allow them to blow out New York in Week 1? This feels like a few too many points to give the Giants, especially with a lower total at 43.5.

LEAN: Giants +5.5 (-110)
