The pre-season top two teams in the Western Conference are set to face-off on Tuesday night when the Colorado Avalanche host the Vegas Golden Knights. It will be the first time that the two teams will face each other since the Golden Knights eliminated the Avs in the second round of the NHL playoffs last year.

The Golden Knights, who entered the season as massive favorites to win the Pacific, have lost four straight games since winning their season opener and now sit dead last in the division. The slow start has caused their odds to win the Stanley Cup to fall to +1500, twice as long as where they were at the beginning of the season, which was +750.

Meanwhile, the Avalanche remain as +550 favorites to win the Cup, despite a slow start themselves. They’re 2-3 entering tonight’s game.

Here’s a look at the odds, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Golden Knights vs. Avalanche Prediction and Pick

Until the Golden Knights show that they can do anything in their own end, I refuse to bet on them. I won by betting against them in their latest game against the Islanders, and I will do the same tonight. Vegas is allowing an average of 15 high danger scoring chances against per 60 minutes of play, and that mark is dead last in the NHL by a wide margin.

The Avalanche should get plenty of opportunities to score as they rank ninth in high danger scoring chances per 60 minutes at 12.39.

The Avs clearly got a boost with the return of Nathan MacKinnon to their lineup, as they took down the defending Stanley Cup champions in their last outing on Saturday. I’ll back them to keep the momentum going tonight against Vegas.

Pick: Avalanche -180
