The Vegas Golden Knights are on a three game stretch against arguably the three best teams in the Eastern Conference. They fell to the Hurricanes 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday night, and now head to Florida to take on the Panthers tonight and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

The Panthers are coming off a 5-3 win against the Jets on Tuesday night, and now return home for the first time since their 9-2 win over the Blue Jackets on January 15th,

Let's take a look at the odds via WynnBET for this interconference showdown.

Golden Knight vs. Panthers Prediction and Pick

I don't usually like backing favorites with odds longer than -150, but I think it's the right play to make in this spot.

The Panthers are, quite simply, the best offensive team in the NHL right now. They have the highest expected goals per 60 minutes at 3.4, and they're also third in high danger scoring chances, averaging 13.32 per game. Not only are their advanced analytics good, but they're also just flat out scoring 3.96 goals per game which is the second highest rate in the NHL.

The Golden Knights, on the other hand, continue to struggle in their own end. They're allowing the most high danger scoring chances per 60 minutes at 12.92, and they have an expected goals per 60 minutes of 2.99 which ranks 23rd in the NHL. I'm going to go ahead and back the Panthers in this one.

Pick: Panthers -170
