Gonzaga vs. Alabama Prediction and Odds for Saturday, December 17 (How to Bet Over/Under)
By Reed Wallach
Alabama and Gonzaga meet for the second time in as many years on a neutral court in Birmingham, Alabama, making this a pseudo-home game for the Crimson Tide.
The Bulldogs are not as dominant as they have been in recent years, 8-3 to start the season, albeit against a difficult schedule. They will face a surging Alabama team that is off to a 9-1 start and is coming off a win against Houston on the road and Memphis earlier this week.
Will Bama keep it up and continue to build momentum as a Final Four contender, or will Gonzaga remind the national audience why they were one of the top preseason picks to make another deep NCAA Tournament run.
Here are the odds for this non conference showdown:

Gonzaga vs. Alabama Prediction and Pick
This game should be a shootout with little resistance on either side. The foil to the Crimson Tide offense are teams that can generate turnovers and create transition opportunities, however that's not this Gonzaga defense who is 242nd in turnover rate.
As for the Crimson Tide defense, they rely on a physical interior defense that runs you off the three-point line and collpases with their length to challenge shots. They don't generate a ton of turnovers either, 329th in turnover rate, which has been a big issue for the Zags thus far as they look for a reliable ball handler.
With Drew Timme on the block, I expect the big man to win at the rim early and often as the Crimson Tide aren't a strong post defense, they thrive more at shutting down isolation offense.
The pace should be quick and both offenses should score at will. While I'm not sure this is the time to start fading Alabama and their streaky offense, I will look to the over as my favorite play.
