In a rematch of a 74-58 victory for Gonzaga two weeks ago, the 24-2 #1 Bulldogs hope for a similar result when they take on the 23-6 #23 Saint Mary's Gaels tonight at 7:00 PM PST.

Gonzaga has won 17 straight and is the rightful #1 team in the country while the Gaels have won three in a row. Will Saint Mary's cover as home underdogs or will Gonzaga prove to be too much to handle?

Gonzaga is 10-5-1 against the spread (ATS) over their last 16 and are as complete a team as you'll find in college basketball. They have the 2nd-best adjusted offensive efficiency and 4th-best defensive efficiency and play at the 5th-fastest adjusted tempo to punish opponents.

The Gaels have a solid offense, ranking 74th in adjusted efficiency, and an excellent defense that ranks 11th. They're 10-4-2 ATS over their previous 16 and are 5-2-1 ATS over their past eight home games.

But the Bulldogs, at 6-1 ATS on the road, have excelled in these spots all season. They've beaten Saint Mary's by double digits each of the last five times these teams have played and with the way they're clicking on all cylinders, I expect more of the same today.

Potential #1 overall NBA draft pick Chet Holmgren has been a revelation and seems to be improving each game. There is no answer for this Bulldogs squad when they're focused and I'm surprised the line is only 10.5.

Saint Mary's is just 2-3-1 ATS over their last six as an underdog and I don't think they'll be able to keep up with an elite Gonzaga offense. Unless the Gaels shoot the lights out, which is a tough ask against Gonzaga's 35th-ranked 3-point defense, then I don't see how they cover the modest number.
