Wisconsin Green Bay vs. Purdue Fort. Wayne Prediction and Pick
While Sundays tend to be strange days in college hoops with tons of early start afternoon games, I don't think this particular matchup is anything Purdue Fort. Wayne will overlook.
Wisconsin Green Bay falls just outside KenPom's bottom 25 of worst overall teams in college basketball, coming in at 331 out of 358. It ranks 321st in adjusted offensive efficiency, 319th in adjusted defense, and 320th in effective field goal percentage.
As for the Dons, while they're nothing special, they're defense in conference play has been very solid. IPFW ranks third in defensive efficiency, second in forced turnovers, and No. 1 in steals.
Even the Dons' head coach has taken notice of his team's improved effort on the defensive end.
Between Wisconsin-Green Bay's inefficiencies on offense and IPFW's stout defense at home, this is not one to overthink. Back the favorite.
LEAN: Purdue Fort. Wayne -9.5 (-110)
