Guardians vs. Orioles Prediction and Odds for Friday, June 3 (Cleveland Looks to Keep Winning Streak Alive)
By Matt De Saro
The Baltimore Orioles enjoyed a relatively good end to May with a 7-6 record in the last two weeks of the month. While that doesn’t sound great, for the Orioles that is a big win. They came out on Wednesday and stayed hot with a 9-2 win over the Mariners to start June off with a bang.
Things get a bit dicey this weekend, however, when the O’s travel to Cleveland to take on the second place Guardians in a three-game series. The Guardians are coming off a sweep of the Kansas City Royals and will have an extra day to rest with no game on Thursday.

Guardians vs. Orioles Prediction and Pick
While it’s true that the Orioles have been playing better baseball lately, it doesn’t mean they are a good team by any stretch of the imagination.
Their offense has been awful and ranks 22nd in batting average and 25th in runs per game. Their work on the mound hasn’t been much better with a combined ERA of 4.08 and WHUP of 1.32.
Bruce Zimmerman gets the start for the O’s today and his 4.53 ERA doesn’t evoke a ton of hope that he will have a positive effect on this game for Baltimore. He has given up at least four runs in his last three games including a six-run disaster against the Red Sox on Sunday.
He is striking out a lot of batters and walking very few. But, he is seeing way too much contact on his pitches and totaled 21 hits in his last 15 ⅓ innings of play.
Look for the Guardians to continue their hot streak as a better team with a better pitcher in Game 1 of this series.
Pick: Guardians -132 ML
