The 30-27 Cleveland Guardians have won 11 of 14 after outlasting Colorado in extra innings last night. They'll try to keep the wins rolling as they take on the 27-35 Rockies tonight at 8:40 PM EST.

Konnor Pilkington makes his fifth career start, coming off giving up four runs in 5.2 innings to Oakland. He's issued 10 walks over his last three outings and certainly hopes to display better command tonight.

Colorado counters with Austin Gomber, who brings a 3-7 record and 6.17 record into the contest. He limited the Giants to two runs over six innings in his last start but gave up nine runs to the Braves and eight runs to the Nationals in his two appearances prior.

Can Pilkington keep his walks down to give Cleveland another win, or will Gomber build off the momentum from his start against San Francisco to cool down the visitors?

Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook to help us answer those questions ahead of this Guardians vs Rockies matchup:

Guardians vs Rockies Prediction and Pick

I'll admit, making your first career start at Coors Field when you have a problem with issuing walks is a scary proposition. But I'm thrilled to back Konnor Pilkington and the Guardians as underdogs either way. After all, if Pilkington is bad, then he'll just be at the same level Austin Gomber is already at. So what's the harm?

Pilkington's allowed only one home run all year and the Guardians are 3-1 in his four starts. They've perhaps the hottest team in the American League and we're getting them as underdogs against a Rockies team that's lost five straight at home? Sign me up, please and thank you.

This line would make sense if Gomber was a quality starter, but he's quite bad. The Rockies are 1-5 in his last six starts and have lost three straight at home behind him. He's in the 11th percentile in expected batting average and the Guardians' lineup has been churning out quality at-bats in this nice stretch of play.

When you consider that Cleveland has massive advantages defensively and in the bullpen, backing them today becomes all the more tantalizing. The Guardians are surging, let's keep enjoying their climb before oddsmakers realize how good they are.

Pick: Guardians (+100)
