The Guardians and Tigers will end their series today, with the Tigers fighting to stay out of the basement of the AL Central. The Guardians are a few games above the Tigers, but are still several games under .500.

If Cleveland can boost its record with some mid-season divisional wins, maybe there is a brighter future for them at the end of the summer. Can the Guardians get a game against their divisional rival?

Guardians vs. Tigers Prediction and Odds

I’ll keep this one short and simple. I’ve faded the Tigers all weekend long because their offense is the worst in the league. Detroit can’t get hits, runs or home runs on a consistent basis for me to back the Tigers here.

Triston McKenzie is playing well enough this season to earn my trust. His ERA is below three, he has the fifth-best WHIP in baseball and he’s only given up four homers all season long.

Detroit stole a win at the beginning of this series, but I don’t think they end the series with one.

Lean: Guardians -1.5 (+112)
