Guardians vs. Tigers Prediction and Odds
The Guardians are the clear play to make today.
Detroit’s offense is terrible and a top contender for worst in all of baseball; ranking bottom three in runs, hits, home runs and OPS+. With Shane Bieber on the mound, who’s been a strikeout machine for much of this season, I don’t trust the Tigers to be able to keep up with the Guardians.
Detroit sends Alex Faedo to the mound. It isn’t a terrible move, but it certainly isn’t the same as having Bieber on the mound. Faedo has given up a homer in three of his last four games and is normally done before the sixth inning starts.
If the Guardians can be competent on offense, this one could get ugly.
Lean: Guardians -1.5 (+105)
