It's been a tough 2022 for Aaron Civale after what was a strong 2021 eventually derailed by injuries.

Civale missed part of 2021 with a finger injury and hasn't been the same since. In 2022, his ERA has ballooned over 7.00 in seven starts. He now faces a hot Twins lineup that looks to separate from the Guardians in the AL Central race

Can Cleveland get on track against the division leader, or will rookie Joe Ryan keep the Twins on track? Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook

Guardians vs. Twins Odds, Run Line, Total

Run Line:

  • Guardians: +1.5 (-140)
  • Twins: -1.5 (+115)

Moenyline:

  • Guardians: +152
  • Twins: -165

Total: 9 (Over -120/Under +100)

Guardians vs. Twins Prediction and Pick

It's tough to be confident about Civale, who is struggling to find swing and misses this season and allowing hard contact. Overall, he is allowing more than 11 hits per 9 innings and may struggle against a stout Twins lineup. In the month of June, the team is eighth in batting average and sixth in wRC+, meaning that they are getting on base and creating run scoring chances at an incredibly high clip.

While Ryan has been strong as a rookie, the Guardians offense has the best hitter in the American League, Jose Ramirez, who is hitting .306 with an MLB high 62 runs batted in.

This is a steep price to pay for the Twins after Ryan struggled in his first start off of a lay off, but I want to back this Twins offense, I'm eyeing the team total over five runs with the wind set to be blowing out of Target Field on Tuesday night.

LEAN: Twins Team Total OVER 5 Runs (-110)
