I did a double-take when I saw Michigan was a 51.5-point favorite with a 67.5 total listed. My word, oddsmakers are expecting a blowout .

Upon looking further though, the line makes sense. Hawaii lost 63-10 to Vanderbilt in Week 0 before an equally disappointing 49-17 beat-down at the hands of Western Kentucky. Hey, it was closer last week! At this rate, Hawaii may win a game by Christmas.

Michigan, meanwhile, dismantled Colorado State 51-7 thanks to an unbelievable rushing attack. The Wolverines marched for 234 yards on the ground with four touchdowns en route to covering the spread for a sixth consecutive game.

Can the Wolverines cover the massive spread or will the Rainbow Warriors finally show some life?

Hawaii vs Michigan Prediction and Pick

Michigan might run for 500 yards in this game. I'm not even joking.

Vanderbilt ran for 404 (!!!) yards on the Rainbow Warriors with five touchdowns, averaging 9.2 yards per carry. With respect to the Commodores, this is a team that's just 4-19 since 2020. Michigan thoroughly outclasses Hawaii's Week 0 opponent, and the Wolverines could likely just run the ball every single play and cruise to a victory.

"Blake Bunnies" is my new favorite college football nickname, and I'm excited to see him embarrass Hawaii defenders for a bit before the backups come in.

While Michigan's ground game should control the tempo, I'm encouraged by its defense as well. The Wolverines allowed just seven points in each of their last three games as home favorites and the Rainbow Warriors have just 27 points combined in their first two contests.

I'm a bit weary on backing Michigan at such a large number. Once they're up four scores, it'll be hard to justify running the tally up. Instead, I'll look to the under. It's 8-1 in the Wolverines' last nine games as home favorites and 11-6 in Hawaii's last 17 games as an underdog.

Expect Michigan to jump out to an early lead and slow the tempo down, so a live under should be worth a look as well depending how the first quarter goes. The Wolverines' are ferocious, and Hawaii's pathetic offense doesn't stand a chance.
