The Miami Heat are up 2-0 on the Atlanta Hawks entering Game 3 of their first round series in Atlanta.

While Trae Young shot the ball much better for the Hawks in Game 2, he turned the ball over 10 times, making it 16 turnovers now for the All-Star guard in two games.

The shortcomings that made the Hawks a play-in team prior to the playoffs are becoming more and more prevalent against a tough-minded Miami team, but is there a chance the Hawks pull off an upset?

Let’s get into the odds via WynnBET

Hawks vs. Heat Prediction and Pick

If you’re thinking of betting on the Hawks in this game, make sure you bet on them to pull off an upset.

Atlanta has not covered the spread in a single loss this entire season, going 0-41.

So, the Hawks are likely going to need to beat the Heat to cover this spread, which offers a bit more value at +105 odds.

Despite all of that, I don’t think the Hawks have the firepower to beat this Heat team in Game 3.

Miami hasn’t gotten a single strong game from Bam Adebayo in this series, but Duncan Robinson took over Game 1 and Jimmy Butler scored 45 points in Game 2. What is going to happen if multiple guys get going at once?

The Hawks were the best team in the NBA during the regular season in terms of turnovers per game, giving it away just 11.9 times per contest. In the playoffs? They are turning it over 18.5 times per game.

You simply can’t win against this Miami defense when playing that sloppily, and unless Young or Bogdan Bogdanovic go nuclear, it appears Miami has more offensive firepower than Atlanta as well.

Lean: Heat -1.5 (-110)
