Hawks vs. Sixers Prediction and Odds: Back Trae Young, ATL with No Ben Simmons to Stop Him
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Atlanta Hawks took an 11-point loss to the Washington Wizards in their last matchup, losing 122-111. Power forward John Collins went 14-16 from the field, recording 28 points and 12 rebounds, but the Hawks defense crumbled, allowing four different Wizards to score 20 or more points.
Atlanta’s defense will need to step it up against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight.
The 76ers have failed to put two wins together this season, but will have the opportunity to start a streak tonight after defeating the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. Joel Embiid put together a big performance, collecting 30 points and 18 rebounds.
Still no Ben Simmons for Philadelphia, but Embiid should be in the lineup again tonight.

Hawks vs 76ers Prediction and Pick
Last season, Atlanta pushed Philadelphia out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Tonight, Doc Rivers and the 76ers can see whether Ben Simmons was really the problem or not.
The 76ers have struggled at collecting rebounds this season, and the Hawks have excelled in that area. Philly is averaging 43.2 boards per game, while Atlanta is averaging 51.2. The Hawks can dominate the boards with Clint Capela and John Collins in their frontcourt.
The good news for the 76ers is that they rank first in the NBA in offensive efficiency, but the Hawks are ranked sixth as well.
Atlanta has been better on defense and rebounding, and Trae Young always has the ability to take over a game.
I’m taking the Hawks at +3 on the spread and +140 in the moneyline.
