Hero World Challenge Picks (Matt Fitzpatrick Provides Value at Albany Golf Course)
The Hero World Challenge is a unique and unofficial event on the PGA Tour schedule that's hosted by Tiger Woods as a benefit for the Tiger Woods foundation.
Woods himself won't be participating, due to continued injury issues, but a strong field of 20 golfers will battle it out at Albany Golf Course & Resort.
Let's take a look at the odds for the tournament and then I'll give you my three best bets.

Hero World Challenge Best Bets
Matt Fitzpatrick +1200
Matt Fitzpatrick is coming off a T5 finish at the DP World Tour Championship, so he's in great form and should be in contention this week. He's coming off a season where he finished second on the Tour in total strokes gained, and I firmly believe he's yet to get the credit he deserves as a golfer.
He's an accurate driver who's great with a long iron in his hand, which is exactly what you need to succeed at Albany. I think he offers the best betting value amongst the top names on the odds board at +1200.
Tom Kim Top 5 +280
The age of Tom Kim has arrived. He'll get a chance to put his talents on full display against the best golfers in the world this weekend, and I fully expect him to shine. Heading into this weekend, he ranks eighth in driving accuracy and sixth in strokes gained: approach.
Being that this is his first season competing at this event, I'll be a bit more conservative with him and wager on him to just finish in the top five at +280.
Shane Lowry Top 10 +100
This has to be my favorite bet on the board. Shane Lowry can hang with the best of them and all he has to do is finish in the top half of the field to cash in at +100 for us. He finished 17th on Tour in total strokes gained last season and ninth in strokes gained: approach.
Lowry's short game can let him down at times, but his ninth ranking in scoring from last year is good enough to give me confidence that he can finish in the top 10 this week.
