The culminating event of NBA All-Star Saturday night is the Dunk Contest. No matter who is involved, great dunks always get the crowd involved and have the ability to be the highlight of the night.

This year, there are three first-time dunkers to go along with Obi Toppin in the dunk contest. Toppin will be joined by Juan Toscano-Anderson, Jalen Green and Cole Anthony.

WynnBET has set the odds for the dunk contest, so let’s dive into the competition.

Odds to Win the Dunk Contest

  • Jalen Green: -110
  • Obi Toppin: +300
  • Cole Anthony: +500
  • Juan Toscano Anderson: +600

Top Contenders For the Dunk Contest

Jalen Green

Green’s rookie season hasn’t gone great, but the one thing we know about him is that he’s bouncy. Green has had a few moments this season where he made some jaws drop. The key for Green will be to make his dunks on the first try. His vertical and finishing power alone can take the air out of the arena, but the shock factor will make him untouchable.

He’ll have some competition with Obi Toppin and Cole Anthony, but Green has more bunnies than both of them. Let’s just see if he can be efficient.

Cole Anthony

Anthony is a sleeper pick to get to the finals. Anthony has shown his bounce since he was in high school and tonight could be a time where he reminds everyone. Anthony is a power dunker and will have to win based on his finishing power and aesthetic. I don't see Anthony being the most creative dunker in the contest, but he will have the most aggressive dunks in the tournament.

Best of the Rest

While Toppin and Tuscano-Anderson will certainly be entertaining, they don't come across as overly creative dunkers. Toppin was in the contest last year and couldn't beat out Anfernee Simons. With more explosive dunkers in the contest this year, Toppin would have to surprise me in order to move on.
