It was a disastrous qualifying session for the leaders of the constructors championship.

Red Bull starts in 10th and 11th on the grid after Sergio Perez failed to get out of Q2 and Max Verstappen had mechanical problems during Q3.

Ferrari is in prime position with Carlos Sainz in second and Charles Leclerc in third behind surprise pole-sitter George Russell.

That shakes up the odds a bit for the Grand Prix tomorrow, and the favorite is changed as Charles Leclerc is +130. So, let’s take a look at the consensus odds for tomorrow after the qualifying session.

Odds to Win the Hungarian Grand Prix

  • Charles Leclerc +130
  • Carlos Sainz +240
  • George Russell +340
  • Max Verstappen +850
  • Lewis Hamilton +1800
  • Lando Norris +1800
  • Sergio Perez +6500
  • Fernando Alonso +10000
  • Estaban Ocon +13000
  • Valterri Bottas +19000

Best Bet To Win Hungarian Grand Prix

Red Bull just could not find their footing in qualifying on Saturday, but there were a few teams who looked really quick around the track in Budapest. Mercedes was one of them and it resulted in the first pole of George Russell’s career. Lewis Hamilton had some problems in Q3 with his DRS wing not opening and will start seventh on Sunday.

It feels like a natural progression for Russell to get his first win this Sunday in Hungary. He’s been ultra consistent since getting into the Mercedes and it feels like he’s just knocking on the door. Russell is at +340 because of how fast Ferrari can be, but we also know how unreliable they are. If Red Bull gets buried in the midfield and Ferrari continues to have issues, then Mercedes could be sitting right there.

Another team sitting waiting for Ferrari mistakes is McLaren. Lando Norris looked really fast in qualifying and could be ready to pounce. He is starting on the second row and could be worth a look at +1800.

Honestly, it feels like this is once again Ferrari’s race to lose and I just struggle to trust them with my money.

PICK: George Russell +340
