Hurricanes vs. Rangers Prediction and Odds for Game 4 (Defenses Continue to Dominate This Series)
By Matt De Saro
The Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers are back in action tonight when they face off in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at MSG. The Canes came out on their home ice last week and punched New York in the mouth while taking a swift 2-0 lead.
But, the Rangers are one of the better home teams in the playoffs and won Game 3 once they were back on their home ice. The Canes will try to get back on track tonight and take a commanding 3-1 lead while New York is trying to tie things up at 2-2.
Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Hurricanes vs. Rangers Prediction and Pick
The Rangers' defense did something in Game 3 that I didn’t expect. They shut down the Hurricanes on offense and held them to just one goal on the night. The Canes aren’t exactly the highest-scoring team, to begin with, but the Rangers made them look like a pee-wee hockey team at times.
It was a welcome sight for NYG backers after the Rangers averaged 3.40 goals allowed per game in the first nine games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Hurricanes are considered a stronger defense yet were unable to contain Mika Zibanead and company. So far this series has been very low scoring overall and Game 3 was no exception.
None of the three games played so far have gone over four goals scored. This is a big difference from the opening round where both teams combined to go under six in just one game.
I have no reason to assume that Game 4 will suddenly be a goal-scoring fiesta. I think an UNDER bet here makes a lot of sense the way this series has gone so far
Pick: UNDER 5.5 (-140)
