If Ja’Marr Chase Breaks This Super Bowl Rookie Record, He'll Easily Cover His Prop

Ja’Marr Chase has put his name in the history books this season, breaking or being close to the top of many rookie receiving records. Now in the biggest game of the year, Chase could break another record.

Chase is a 110-yard performance away from having the best Super Bowl any rookie receiver has ever had. Torrey Holt is the current record holder for most receiving yards by a rookie in the Super Bowl. If Chase surpasses him, it’ll be another record and an easy win for bettors.

WynnBET currently has Chase’s prop for receiving yards set at 80.5, with -115 on both sides. While I’m unsure if Chase can break the record, I am sure that he will clear this line.

Chase will have to go up against Jalen Ramsey, arguably the best corner in the game, which could limit how involved he will be. However, Ramsey has been beaten this postseason and by much slower than Chase.

Chase’s reception line is set at 5.5, with the over juiced to -135. I think Ramsey will be able to hold chase down for a majority of the game, but I have to account for Chase’s explosiveness.

Out of all the offensive players in the Super Bowl, there might not be a single player with as much big play ability as Ja’Marr Chase. He can break one tackle and be gone 50 yards to the house.

The Bengals showed in the second half just how easily they can move the ball down the field. I would think that just how Joe Burrow shined in the 2019 National Championship Game, they will try and recreate that magic on Sunday – giving Chase all the opportunity to break all the records his heart pleases.
