UPDATE: 15 minutes after this story was first posted, the Vegas line for No. 1 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft shifted dramatically again, making Jabari Smith a landslide outright favorite (-10000) to be the No. 1 pick following Woj's report about him going first overall. What follows is the original report about Brian Giuffra betting on Smith at plus odds seconds after Woj's report was initially released.

With no clear-cut superstar in this year's NBA Draft, the odds for the No. 1 overall pick have fluctuated wildly over the last few days.

Duke star Paolo Banchero came out of nowhere to overtake Auburn's Jabari Smith and Gonzaga's Chet Holmgren in the odds to be the No. 1 overall pick yesterday, jumping from +200 to -200 at some books and remaining the favorite today.

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a classic Woj bomb this morning, however, rebuffing Vegas and saying Smith remains the "firm" choice to be the No. 1 pick.

Based on Woj's past reporting of the NBA Draft, where he correctly says who the next pick will be sometimes 10 minutes before the pick is made, I went ahead and wagered two units on Smith to be the No. 1 pick at +115 odds.

Of course, this could backfire, But Woj has successfully called what feels like the last 1,000 straight first-round picks and I'm going to trust his reporting here. It got so bad the NBA asked ESPN to have Woj stop calling out the picks ahead of time because it hurt their Draft product. He hasn't stopped and keeps getting them right. In fact, there will be times he's two picks ahead of the TV Draft coverage.

Gotta trust the man here.
