Indiana vs Purdue Prediction and Odds (Trust Desperate Hoosiers On the Road)
By Joe Summers
We've got a battle of two struggling teams in desperate need of a win as the 24-6 #8 Purdue Boilermakers host the 18-11 Indiana Hoosiers today at 1:00 PM EST.
The Boilermakers have lost two straight and are 0-5-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last six, while the wheels have completely fallen off the Hoosiers' season and they're a pathetic 2-6 outright and ATS in their previous eight.
Indiana's NCAA Tournament hopes are slipping through their fingers, but a win at Purdue could stamp their ticket. The Hoosiers beat the Boilermakers at home 68-65 in January and have to conjure up the same kind of magic to keep their postseason dreams alive.

Indiana vs Purdue Prediction and Pick
Purdue has been one of my favorite teams all year, but even I can't explain the disastrous play recently. Their offense looks out of sync, Jaden Ivey is struggling, and they've turned into an excellent team to fade.
But they're still capable of exploding offensively at any time, and they're long overdue for a big game. I just don't know if it's going to come against a desperate Indiana team that still has the 23rd-ranked defense in adjusted efficiency.
Now don't get me wrong, the Hoosiers have been atrocious on the road. They're 3-8 ATS outside of Assembly Hall this season and 1-5 ATS as an underdog. Unless they're at home, Indiana has had almost no chance.
The Boilermakers are no world-beaters at home though. They're 1-4 ATS in their last five and I think they'll struggle against a rangy Indiana defense. Purdue's offensive rating has fallen from the 100th percentile to the 60th in their last five games, and their defense was never particularly strong to begin with.
The Hoosiers are catching Purdue at the perfect time. This game is it for Indiana. A loss and they'll likely need to win the Big Ten Tournament to make it to March Madness. But a win over a top-10 team on the road? Yeah, that'll play. Expect Indiana to keep it close and take advantage of a Purdue team that seems to have lost its way.
Pick: Indiana +10 (-110)
