TCU found another way to win late, this time in the most dramatic fashion possible.

The Horned Frogs were down two of their key offensive contributors in Kendre Miller and Quentin Johnston, but Max Duggan kept the team's College Football Playoff hopes alive with two late scoring drives, the final ending with a walk off filed goal in a chaotic finish.

The Horned Frogs now host Iowa State, who is playing out their dismal season in Ames, not able to qualify for a bowl this season, but looking to play spoiler against their Big 12 rival. Can they end their season with an upset win?

Here are the odds for this regular season finale:

Iowa State vs. TCU Odds, Spread and Total

Iowa State vs. TCU Betting Trends

  • TCU is 8-2-1 against the spread (ATS) this season
  • Iowa State is 10-2 ATS as a double digit underdog with Matt Campbell as head coach
  • Iowa State has gone UNDER in nine of 11 games this season, including all four times as an underdog
  • TCU is 4-1 to the OVER at home this season

Iowa State vs. TCU Prediction and Pick

Miller has been the star back for TCU this season, he is averaging more than 6.5 yards per carry and has 14 touchdowns on the ground this season, and Johnson is a future top 15 pick in the NFL draft. He is averaging more than 15 yards per catch, but has been battling injuries over the last few weeks.

Both of those two are key to the Horned Frogs offensive attack against a formidable Iowa State defense that ranks fifth in EPA/Rush and 39th in EPA/Pass. While the Cyclones offense leaves a ton to be desired, the defense can keep them in the game with their 3-3-5 formation that is built to limit explosive plays.

For the Horned Frogs, the team has rallied to win late time and time again, but have also been lucky to win with margin the times they have. The team needed a late touchdown on a free play against West Virginia to cover and a quarterback injury to Texas Tech tipped the game (and cover) in their direction.

Iowa State's methodical pace and stout defense has kept them close in games, even if their 3-7 record looks poor. There's a reason why Matt Campbell-coached Cyclones teams are 10-2 ATS as double digit underdogs.

I think they make TCU work for the undefeated season and keep this within one score.
