In a rematch of a 98-75 Iowa win, the 19-8 Hawkeyes hope for a similar result when they take on the 7-20 Nebraska Cornhuskers tonight at 8:00 PM CST.

Iowa has won five of six and covered the spread in four of those wins while Nebraska is reeling, having won just twice in their last 20 games.

Will the Hawkeyes keep rolling and cover a large number on the road or will the Cornhuskers show some life at home?

Iowa vs Nebraska Prediction and Pick

Peanut butter and jelly, wine and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, Iowa and Nebraska overs.

Both of these teams have been fantastic over bets all season. Combined, the over is 34-18-2 when they play at a fast pace and are comfortable driving up the total. Neither team shot better than average in the first matchup and it still combined for 173 points. Oddsmakers have tried to adjust by giving this game the highest total either team has had all season, but I still don't think it's high enough.

Particularly when Iowa is favored, the over is almost an automatic bet. Since December 1st, the over is 10-5-1 when Iowa is a favorite. All five unders came against teams all but one (vs. Michigan State) came against teams that rank outside the top-200 in adjusted tempo. And Michigan State is 141st, so they're a slow team as well.

Meanwhile, the over is 8-4 in the Cornhuskers' last dozen games as an underdog but all four unders were against teams that are outside the top-150 in tempo.

Luckily for us, Iowa and Nebraska play at the 41st and 13th-fastest paces in the country, so we're all systems go for an over play. When these teams face opponents that don't slow the game down, the total flies over. Every time.

I love the over 161.5 today to keep these trends going and I'll be rooting for a second-coming of the "Seven Seconds Or Less" Suns in this one.

Pick: Over 161.5 (-110)
