The Washington Commanders will not have star pass rusher Chase Young in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons due to an illness and recovery from his knee injury.
Young had been expected to work out pregame to see if he could play, but the team adding an illness for him to the injury report and ruled him out.
It's a tough blow for the Commanders' defense, as Young is the team's best edge rusher and hasn't played yet this season after he tore his ACL last season.

The Commanders are on a two-game winning streak and are 6-5 on the season.
Getting young back into the lineup at some point this season would give a boost to their chances of making the playoffs this season.
Washington is 17th in the NFL in passing yards allowed this season, which puts the team in the middle of the pack in the league.
The Commanders are a four-point favorite in this game even without Young, as oddsmakers continue to believe in Taylor Heinicke to lead this offense.
