Is Christian McCaffrey Playing This Week (Will 49ers Start Newly Acquired RB vs. Chiefs?)
The San Francisco 49ers pulled off THE blockbuster trade of the year, acquiring All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey in exchange for a hefty haul of draft picks.
The 49ers’ odds have already dropped as everyone is expecting the offense to go to another level.
However, the big question is when will we see the new version of this offense?
We might have to wait a week, as the turnaround from Friday to Sunday might be too quick.
“I’m still up in the air whether we’re going to be able to get him here for Sunday or not,” Shanahan said, via 49ersWebzone.com. “I know for sure he’ll be here the following Sunday. But that’s kind of why I’m in a wait-and-see approach right now.”
The 49ers would welcome McCaffrey with open arms this week, as they face off against the Kansas City Chiefs.
If McCaffrey were to miss this week, the first game he’d play in would be the 49ers’ game against the Rams – which is the last team McCaffrey played.
