Is Josh Jacobs Playing Today? (Latest Injury Update for Chargers vs. Raiders in NFL Week 13)
By Peter Dewey
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is a true game-time decision against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13 due to a calf injury.
Jacobs was dealing with the same injury last week, but he ended up suiting up and had a monster game, tallying 303 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in a win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White are next in line to replace Jacobs if he doesn't play, but the Raiders running back has already fought through this injury to have his best game of the season.
With optimism around his status, bettors and fantasy owners should leave Jacobs in their lineup for now, and have a backup plan at the ready.
The Raiders are favored at home in this AFC West division clash, but they have been one of the more frustrating teams in the NFL this season, blowing several leads to end up 4-7 through 12 weeks.
Best NFL Prop Bets for Josh Jacobs vs. Chargers in Week 13
If Jacobs does suit up in this game, you almost have to take the OVER on his rushing yards against the Chargers' league worst run defense.
Los Angeles is allowing 5.4 yards per carry this season, and Jacobs averaged 5.7 yards per carry in Week 1 against the Chargers. While he didn't clear this number in that game, he also saw one of his lightest workloads of the season (10 carries).
Jacobs have five games where he's cleared 100 yards in the 2022 campaign, and the Raiders' best offense has been letting him go to work in the run game.
I'll back him to stay hot if he can suit up on Sunday.
