Is Keenan Allen Playing Today? (Latest Injury Update for Seahawks vs. Chargers in NFL Week 7)

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen has not played since Week 1 of the 2022 season, and it's possible he will miss Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks as well.
Allen, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, is a true game-time decision in Week 7. However, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the team could rest Allen this week since it has a bye in Week 8. That would give the star receiver two more weeks to recover before returning for the stretch run of the 2022 season.

Allen is one of the best receivers in the NFL when healthy, so there's no doubt that the Chargers want him back as soon as possible. With Josh Palmer (concussion) out in Week 7, it's possible the Chargers play Allen, but he'd likely be limited if he is a true game-time call.
The Chargers are five-point favorites in this game. If you're looking for a prop or fantasy target to replace Allen, there are a few players that could have a bigger role.
The first is running back Austin Ekeler, who has seen 19 or more touches in each of the last three weeks. His prop numbers may be juiced since he's already a star player, so here's the buy-low candidate I have in this game:

DeAndre Carter stepped up in a big way in Week 1 when Allen went down, finishing with three catches for 64 yards and a score.
He has cooled off since, failing to catch a touchdown, but he's made at least two catches in every game. Now, with Palmer out, Carter is the next man up in the Chargers offense.
I think there is value on Carter to score in this game, especially since Seattle has one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season. With Mike Williams likely seeing extra attention on the outside, Carter is a logical choice to step up and fill the void left by Palmer (and Allen) in Week 7.
