One thing that many bettors struggle with is games that look too good to be true. The games that are “total locks” often aren’t when all is said and done. There is truth to the adage that “if something is too good to be true, it probably is.”

Let’s take a look at two such games that pop out in Week 14 on the WynnBET Sportsbook odds board heading into the weekend.

Lions +10 vs. Broncos

Despite their terrible SU record, the Detroit Lions have been undervalued all season by bookmakers. The now 1-11 Lions are 8-4 ATS on the season. What is even more eye-opening is that the four games they failed to cover were by an average of 1.6 points. So, the Lions could easily have a better ATS record and make opponents fight to cover.

Coming off of their first win of the season, the Lions will be hungry to go on an actual winning streak. While I don’t see them coming away with a win, covering this spread is more than doable. Especially with the Lions’ rushing attack coming into their own. Denver is more of an offensive-minded team and if they aren't careful the Lions could put up some big rushing numbers.

Seahawks -8.5 vs Texans

So the Seahawks remembered how to put touchdowns on the board after several weeks of rough offensive outings. Seattle managed to put up 30 points on the 49ers after failing to score 20 points in their three previous games and four of their last five. That includes a shutout to the Packers.

But, one game is not enough for me to think that this team is back on track on the offensive side of things. There have been a lot of struggles by the Seahawks including swirling rumors that Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll are out after the end of the year.

While I am not banking on the Seahawks getting upset here, this is the same team that got beat by Washington 17-15 just two weeks ago. I think it's possible that both offenses struggle here and we see a low-scoring tight game that goes down to the wire.
