Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is off to an insane start this season, and he’s quickly rising in the odds to win the NBA’s Most Improved Player award because of it.

Morant is now the favorite, ahead of Charlotte Hornets wing Miles Bridges, at +500 odds at WynnBET Sportsbook

Morant’s uncanny ability for getting to the rim has allowed him to average 28.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game to start the season while shooting 52.1 percent from the field.

The Grizzlies are just 3-3, but Morant has carried them to wins over the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors while also dropping 40 points in a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

At +500 odds, there still is some value in the former No. 2 overall pick, but here are the full odds for the league’s Most Improved Player award:

Latest Odds to Win the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award

  • Ja Morant: +500
  • Miles Bridges: +600

Morant led the Grizzlies to the playoffs last year and should have a chance to do it again. If he continues to improve as a shooter (38.9 percent from 3 this season), his scoring numbers should take a major leap.

Additionally, last week, our colleague Donnavan Smoot wrote how Morant is not only making a name for himself in Most Improved Player, but also for NBA MVP as well.
