Jackson State definitely didn’t get that Deion Sanders bump in their basketball program. The Tigers are 1-6 and their lone win came on Saturday, 69-68 over SMU. Now, they’ll get to see their second top 25 opponent of the season in No. 24 TCU.

Horned Frogs fans are all excited about the College Football Playoff, but they’ve got a pretty good basketball team on campus too and Jamie Dixon’s squad should take care of business tonight, but can they cover a big spread at home? Let’s get to the odds and make a pick.

Jackson State vs. TCU Prediction and Pick

This could be an interesting one for the Horned Frogs because earlier in the season, they struggled against lesser opponents and even lost to Northwestern State. They were not a team you could trust to blow out the bad teams, but since that loss, they’ve been much better at taking care of business.

The very next game they blew out LA-Monroe 95-60 and won their most recent three games against Power 5 opponents rather convincingly. Which version of TCU will we get today is the big question.

The important thing for TCU is that Mike Miles Jr. will be on the court tonight, he is a big reason there have been two different versions of TCU. They are 5-0 with him and have won by an average of 9.8 points. They’re 1-1 without him, but their win was by 35 points. Miles Jr. averages 18.2 points a game while shooting nearly 50% from the field.

TCU might let their foot off the gas a little bit in this game after playing three-straight quality Power 5 opponents. They will also be peaking ahead to their matchup on Saturday with their fiercest rival, SMU. The Mustangs aren’t good, but rivalry games loom large and I think this spot against Jackson State will be overlooked.

Pick: Jackson State +23 (-110)
