The Jacksonville Jaguars might be for real. After a big 38-10 win over the Chargers in Week 3, Doug Pederson and Trevor Lawrence may have turned things around for that franchise.

However, there is no question that Pederson’s old team, the Philadelphia Eagles, are a real contender in the NFC. Pederson will have a reunion in Philly in Week 4.

Jaguars vs. Eagles Prediction and Pick

Jacksonville finally got a road win, which goes a really long way to actually considering betting on it in this spot in Philly, which is one of the toughest places to play in the league.

The Eagles are flying very high right now at 3-0 and even though Jacksonville is 2-1 and in the lead in the AFC South, the Jags seem to be a bit more under the radar.

I think Week 1 for Jacksonville was a hiccup for them adjusting to Pederson’s system and it was a close loss to Washington. I don’t think they would love that game now, they are the most improved team through the first three weeks.

I also love this Eagles roster and Jalen Hurts has shown an ability to spread the ball around to Devonta Smith and A.J. Brown. There were questions about Smith after a zero catch Week 1, but those were answered with eight catches, 169 yards and a touchdown in Week 3.

Hurts is taking a step into the MVP conversation and potentially the elite quarterbacks of the league, but I think Trevor Lawrence is not too far behind. Lawrence looked fantastic against the improved Chargers defense and I think he can go punch for punch for Hurts this week.

I’ll probably wait to see where the line goes to make my bet on this game but for right now I’ll back both of these quarterbacks and take the over.

Pick: Over 48.5 (-105)
