Jaguars vs. Patriots Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 17
The season can't end soon enough for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They had a chance to beat the lowly New York Jets in Week 16, but miscommunications and penalties cost them at the goal line in the final seconds of the game.
Now they head to Foxboro to take on a New England Patriots team who will be hungry to get back in the win column after consecutive losses to the Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills. New England currently sits in the No. 6 spot in the AFC, but at 9-6, there's still a possibility that they can miss the playoffs. They can put those doubts to rest with a win against Jacksonville.
Let's take a look at the odds via WynnBET for this AFC matchup.

Jaguars vs. Patriots Prediction and Pick
I hate that I'm going to do this, but I'm going to bet on the Jaguars to cover the spread in this complete mismatch of a game.
The Patriots have the right players and the right coaching to challenge and beat any team in the NFL on any given night, but let's not pretend like they're a league powerhouse. Their offense is still average at best, ranking 16th in yards per play, 13th in third down offense, and 22nd in red zone offense. They're certainly a better team than the Jaguars, but a 15-point spread in the NFL should be saved for the true powerhouse teams.
The Jaguars defense has gotten better in recent weeks, relatively. Their season average in opponent yards per play is 5.6, but they've only allowed 5.0 yards per play over their last three games. It's an ugly bet to make, but I think it's the right one.
