Last week’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants was a physical one. Daniel Jones left with a neck strain and Jalen Hurts also walked away with a messed up ankle.

Right now, it looks like Hurts will still be able to go on Sunday against the New York Jets. If he can’t play, then the Eagles will be led by Gardner Minshew, who quarterbacked the Jacksonville Jaguars last season. Either way, the oddsmakers don’t see the Eagles being any less of a favorite against the Jets.

WynnBET has the Eagles as 6.5-point favorites against the Jets, who just got their third win this past weekend against the Houston Texans.

The Eagles badly need a win against the Jets in order to stay in the playoff race. Philadelphia had won three of its last four before going to the Meadowlands to play the Giants. Now, they will play in the same stadium to try and right the ship.

Hurts’ numbers through the air have tailed off in the second half of this season. He hasn’t thrown for at least 200 yards in the last five games, but he has made up for it on the ground. He’s rushed for at least 50 yards in each of the last six games. Losing him this week would be a serious hit to their offense, but Minshew proved last season that he can make a couple plays over the course of a game.

Without or without Hurts, the Eagles should be fine. However, if he’s not there, the 6.5-point spread will need some looking at.
