Jalen Hurts and the Eagles put on an absolute rushing clinic on Sunday Night against the Green Bay Packers. They ran for 363 yards, moved to 10-1 on the season and displayed on national television why Jalen Hurts deserves to be in the MVP conversation.
Hurts’ odds have dropped all the way down to +350, putting him second behind Patrick Mahomes (-140). Although it seems like it’s Mahomes’ award to lose, there is still a good portion of the season left for Hurts to make an impression.
He’s accounted for 25 total touchdowns, only has three interceptions and the Eagles might finish with the best record in the league.
One thing that can help Hurts’ case is the schedule. The Eagles still have to play the Giants twice, the Cowboys and the Titans. If he can lead the Eagles through those opponents without many bumps in the road, his case will only get stronger.
Last night Jalen Hurts became just the 4th player ever with 150+ passing yards AND 150+ rushing yards in the same game.

It will be hard though, considering what Mahomes has to play for the last six weeks. The Chiefs have the easiest schedule in the league, and will have all the opportunities to put up big numbers against bad teams.
However, with the race coming down to the final six weeks, it wouldn’t hurt to sprinkle on Hurts in the event he overtakes the throne from Mahomes.
With another big performance, Hurts can have one more big jump towards the top – making this line one of the best to bet down the stretch.
