Jameis Winston was tabbed by the New Orleans Saints to be the quarterback to succeed the legendary Drew Brees. As the season has gone on, I’m sure Brees has ignored a few phone calls from head coach Sean Payton.

Winston has only hit 200 or more passing yards just once in the first four games, throwing for 226 yards and a touchdown in last week’s loss to the New York Giants. And after throwing for five touchdowns in Week 1 over the Green Bay Packers, which was a ridiculous fluke by the way, Winston has only thrown three touchdowns in the last three games combined.

While Winston has been a disappointment for New Orleans, Taylor Heinicke has been quite a surprise for the Washington Football Team. Heinicke has thrown for at least two touchdown passes in all three of his starts and had a big game last week, throwing for 290 yards and three touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons.

WynnBET Sportsbook has set Winston’s passing yards prop at 198.5 yards (Over -125/Under -115) and Heinicke’s passing yards prop at 239.5 yards (Over -125/Under -115).

Who will have more passing yards? Jameis Winston or Taylor Heinicke?

These are two bad passing defenses squaring off in Week 5. The Saints have allowed 294.5 passing yards per game (26th in the NFL) and the Football Team has allowed 307 passing yards per game (27th in the NFL).

Washington’s running back, Antonio Gibson, is currently dealing with a shin issue and has been limited in practice all week and is questionable for Sunday’s matchup with New Orleans. If Gibson doesn’t go, or is heavily limited in this game, it should be a big week for Heinicke.

Taylor Heinicke will have more passing yards than Jameis Winston this week and I’ll be taking the over on Heinicke’s 239.5 passing yards prop.
