Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Wimbledon Round of 16 Prediction and Odds (Sinner is Live for Upset)
By Reed Wallach
Two upstarts face in the Round of 16 at the All England Club.
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz meet in the Round of 16 at Wimbledon, looking to build on their career best result. Neither competitor has a ton of form on grass, but both have been excellent this week.
The World No. 7 Alcaraz has bested Sinner twice before, but the two haven't met on grass before. Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook for the highly anticipated matchup between two of tennis brightest young stars.
Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Odds, Spread, Total
Spread:
- Sinner: +4.5 (-110)
- Alcaraz: -4.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Sinner: +215
- Alcaraz: -275
Total:
- 38.5 (Over -110/Under -110)
Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz Prediction and Pick
Alcaraz had a tough time navigating his first round opponent against Jan-Lennard Struff, but has won his past two matches in straight sets. Sinner should be up to the task, who has faced tougher competition en route to the Round of 16, knocking off big-serving John Isner in straights as well as Mikael Yme and Stan Wawrinka.
Given that Alcaraz has limited form on grass, I'm still not sold on him beating elite competition and covering such a wide moneyline. Sinner is also relatively unproven on this surface, but the difference shouldn't be as great as this number indicates.
I'll take a shot on Sinner on the games spread in a match that is shaping up to be a long, competitive match between two rising stars.
LEAN: Sinner +4.5 (-110)
