Jaylen Brown’s finals MVP Odds Soar After Huge Game 3 Performance
By Josh Yourish

Wednesday night in Boston, the Celtics took a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals and Jaylen Brown was a huge reason why. After his game 3 performance, his Finals MVP odds went from +900 to +350. There is naturally movement in the direction of the team that is up in the series, but this is a staggering jump. Brown has the third lowest odds behind the favorite, Jayson Tatum and Steph Curry.
Here are the latest consensus odds to win NBA Finals MVP:
NBA Finals MVP
- Jayson Tatum +115
- Steph Curry +200
- Jaylen Brown +350
- Al Horford +3000
- Marcus Smart +3300
- Klay Thompson +8000
- Derrick White +8000
- Andrew Wiggins +10000
One change that many noticed in the Warriors Game 2 win was they had Draymond Green guard Brown. After the game, where Brown only finished with 17 points on 17 shots, Brown spoke openly about the effect of Draymond’s intensity on himself and the Celtics.
Draymond may have even tried to pants the Celtics shooting guard.

It took Jaylen Brown just one quarter of play to match his game two output.

Brown was the Celtics leading scorer in Game 3 and that has prompted his odds to jump. Both Tatum and Brown have struggled for one of the three games played so far. Tatum had just 12 points in game one, but did add 13 assists in the Celtics win, while Brown had his struggles in Game 2.
There may still be some value to Jaylen Brown at +350, with Curry and Tatum both playing through nagging injuries.
