The Utah Jazz are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference at this point in the season, and they have a chance to make a statement against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Los Angeles has won back-to-back games since Kawhi Leonard returned to the lineup, but the Clippers could be down Paul George (questionable) for this game. Utah is going to be without guard Mike Conley due to a knee injury.

These teams are polar opposites, with Utah ranking fourth in the NBA in offense rating while the Clippers are No. 2 in the league in defensive rating.

With Kawhi still on a minutes restriction, can the Clippers win this game, even if George ends up sitting?

Jazz vs. Clippers Prediction and Pick

Utah is coming off two extremely impressive wins, beating the Phoenix Suns by one at home and the Portland Trail Blazers by five on the road.

The Jazz are one of the better offensive teams in the NBA, and they have replacements for Conley, such as guard Collin Sexton that shouldn’t make him too big of a loss.

As for the Clippers, they have relied on defense and a slowed down pace this season, but I don’t think they’re going to blow out this Utah team.

This is a short spread but it will move in favor of Utah if George gets ruled out, so I’ll lean with the Jazz early here.

Utah is fourth in the NBA in 3-pointers made per game this season, and they allow the fewest 3s in the league.

That’s going to keep them in a lot of games, and with Leonard still on a minutes restriction as he works his way back, I think Utah can hang around, if not upset the Clippers in this game.
