Jazz vs. Magic Prediction and Odds: Utah Outclasses Orlando Across the Board
By Matt De Saro
The Utah Jazz, one of the hottest teams out of the gate, have the luxury of facing off against one of the coldest tonight. The 2-8 Orlando Magic host the Jazz as 12-point home underdogs coming off a 13-point loss to the Spurs on Friday.
The Jazz close out their three-game road trip and couldn't have picked a better opponent to do so. Utah was already on fire to start the year and have a chance to sweep their road trip against the Magic. The Jazz outperforms the Magic in every facet of the stat sheet and every position on the court.
The Magic are coming off back-to-back losses to the Celtics and Spurs, failing to keep either game competitive. The Magic failed to cover either spread and dropped their ATS record to 3-7. Orlando doesn’t even average 100-points per game and I struggle to see a path to victory here. Even an ATS win feels like a long shot.

Jazz vs. Magic Prediction and Pick
The Magic head home for this game, but have yet to win a game in three tries at the Amway Center. I don’t see tonight going much different for them. The numbers are clear and this game could end in a blowout win for the Jazz. Utah is playing some of the best basketball in the league right now and the Magic just look terrible.
Utah is the top-ranked perimeter defense in the league, holding teams to a mere 24.1 percent from behind the art. The Magic are in the bottom half of the NBA from deep and will struggle mightily tonight to find space on the perimeter. If Donovan Mitchell plays, the Jazz will be able to run up the score against this weak Orland defense. Even if he should fail to be ready, the Jazz has plenty of other offensive weapons with Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, and Bojan Bogdanovich to rely on.
At the end of the day, the Jazz are better than the Celtics and Spurs, two teams that just beat up on the Magic. Both teams beat them by 13 which makes this 12-point spread very attractive.
Pick: Jazz -12 (-110)
