The San Antonio Spurs have slipped back into their losing ways, dropping back-to-back games heading into Monday’s showdown with the Utah Jazz.

The Jazz have struggled a bit on the road this season, going just 7-11, but this is about as favorable of a road matchup as you’re going to find.

The Spurs are a brutal 4-18 against the Western Conference this season, and rank dead-last in the NBA in both net rating and defensive rating.

With several teams in the West underperforming, the Jazz have actually snuck back into the No. 7 spot in the conference over their last two games. Can they keep the momentum going against arguably the league’s worst team?

Let’s jump into the odds and a pick for this Western Conference matchup:

Jazz vs. Spurs Odds, Spread and Total

Jazz vs. Spurs Prediction and Pick

This is way too short of a line for me to pass up the Jazz, who have been one of the best offensive teams in the NBA this season.

I feel like I’ve handicapped a few Jazz games like this, specifically their recent matchup with the Detroit Pistons, but Utah’s offensive edge is going to be too much for the Spurs.

The Jazz rank fourth in offensive rating compared to the Spurs all the way down at No. 28 in the league. Utah’s defense has taken a step back since its fast start (26th in defensive rating), but the team still outranks the Spurs there as well.

San Antonio is just 6-8 against the spread as home dogs this season, losing those games by an average margin of 11.6 points.

There is absolutely no way I can trust the Spurs, even with a healthy Keldon Johnson, to cover this short of a spread given their brutal performance against the Western Conference this season.
