As much as I want to fade the Maple Leafs against lesser competition tonight based on recent results, the numbers show me that Toronto should run away with it tonight.
Over their last 25 games, the Jets rank 30th in high danger scoring chances allowed, averaging 14.16 per game. That's bad news against a Maple Leafs team that's third in goals per 60 minutes at 3.95. The Toronto offense should be all over this Winnipeg defense, and it doesn't help that the Jets will likely look to their backup goaltender after Connor Hellebuyck played in last night's shootout win against the Sabres.
The Maple Leafs, while not getting strong goaltending, have been fantastic in their own end. They're third in expected goals against over their last 25 games.
