Jets vs. Patriots Prediction: Fade Zach Wilson On The Road Against Bill Belichick
By Josh Yourish
Usually the bye week serves as a big edge heading into your next game, but the NFL didn’t afford that luxury to the New York Jets or New England Patriots. Both teams were on their bye in Week 10, so neither team got a rest advantage. Bill Belichick did get an extra week to scheme up a new way to torture Zach Wilson this week. The Patriots are 5-4, but took down the 6-3 Jets in Week 8.
Let’s get into the odds for the AFC East rematch.
Jets vs. Patriots Odds, Spread and Total
Jets vs. Patriots Odds, Spread and Total Movement in NFL Week 11
The Patriots opened as 5.5 point favorites at home, but now you can even find them at -3 in some books. The consensus spread is 3.5, but it might close at 3.
Jets vs. Patriots Prediction and Pick
It was just a couple of weeks ago when Zach Wilson threw three interceptions against New England. He has thrown seven picks against the Patriots in two full games played. The Jets coaching staff was able to scheme up a better game plan against Buffalo a week later when Wilson knocked off the Bills.
Against Buffalo, the Jets ran for 174 yards and only passed for 136. That approach will not work against New England. Last time they played, they only ran for 51 yards and the Patriots give up just 4.1 yards per carry this year, one of the best numbers in the NFL.
Bill Belichick is going to force Zach Wilson to beat him and I do not think that he will be able to.
Pick: Patriots -3 (-120)
