There will be no rest advantage for either team in Week 11 as both the 6-3 New York Jets and the 5-4 New England Patriots were on their bye in Week 10.

This is the second time these teams will meet this season and back in Week 8, the Patriots took down Zach Wilson and the Jets 22-17 at Metlife. Since that meeting we have seen the Jets knock off the Buffalo Bills, so maybe they will head up to Foxborough with a bit more confidence.

Jets vs. Patriots Prediction and Pick

To analyze this game, I feel like the most important thing to do is look at the last game that they played, because not much has changed on these teams since then. It was only a few weeks ago when Bill Belichick completely shut down the running game for New York.

That was the key to the game.

The Patriots forced Zach Wilson to throw the ball 41 times and he only completed 20 of those attempts. He did throw for 355 yards and two touchdowns, but Wilson also threw three bad interceptions.

New England is middle of the pack in run defense, but when Belichick wants to take something away he can almost always pull it off. I think Wilson will be forced into tough situations again.

After Week 8, Wilson commented to the media that he essentially gets bored checking the ball down and wants to take shots deep, which is why he threw three picks. That is easily correctable and I’m sure Robert Saleh will try his best to reign in Wilson’s wild side, but in two full games against New England, Wilson has seven interceptions.

Wilson played well against Buffalo, but the Jets also ran the ball for 174 yards and he only threw it 25 times.

Pick: Patriots -3.5 (-107)
