Jets vs. Steelers Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 4
By Josh Yourish
Zach Wilson is expected to make his return for the New York Jets in Week 4 and he comes back to a familiar under .500 record. The 1-2 Jets travel to Pittsburgh to take on the 1-2 Pittsburgh Steelers with the Steelers season on the verge of disaster.
Mike Tomlin is sticking with Mitch Trubisky, so could his stubbornness sink the Steelers in Week 4?

Jets vs. Steelers Prediction and Pick
The Steelers offense is lifeless. Every pass play is outside the numbers and doesn’t allow the dynamic receivers to make plays after the catch. There is frustration brewing in the media and it seems in the receiver corps with the play calling and the quarterback. This feels like the day that it will all boil over for them if they cannot find a way to move the ball against the Jets.
Trubisky has a 77.7 passer rating this year just behind Davis Mills, Joe Flacco and an injured Jameis Winston. The offensive line has actually looked a lot better and they only allowed one sack against the Cleveland Browns Myles Garrett led defensive line. The receivers are some of the most dynamic in the NFL, so it has to be the offensive coordinator and the quarterback at that point.
I’m not sure what the Jets will look like with Zach Wilson, but I do know that since 2017 the Steelers are 0-6 with TJ Watt out and they have generated just two sacks across Week 2 and 3 without him on the field.
Wilson will be clean and Garrett Wilson, his newest receiver will easily be able to get open against Akhello Witherspoon who is the Steelers No. 1 corner by default. Amari Cooper burned him for 107 and a touchdown on Thursday.
The hope for Pittsburgh is that Minkah Fitzpatrick continues to be the best safety in the NFL and can bait Wilson into a few turnovers. Mike Tomlin has nine days to prepare for a second-year quarterback who hasn’t shown great decision making in his career to this point. The Steelers need to win this game and Tomlin will always get the team up for a spot like this.
I am 3-0 on my picks for Steelers games this year and if anyone knows how a Mike Tomlin team will play on a given week it’s someone who grew up watching him every week in Pittsburgh.
I am going to wait to bet this hoping it moves to -3 or -2.5 because if it goes from 3.5 to 4 or 4.5 that change doesn’t mean nearly as much to me as getting through the field goal. I’m willing to risk it moving to wait and see what happens with this line.
Lean: Steelers -3.5
