The New York Jets and Houston Texans will face off in Week 12 in a battle of two basement dwellers in the AFC.

Houston is coming off an upset win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 11, while the Jets, led by Joe Flacco, lost to the Miami Dolphins. Both teams are staring at a top five pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but who will win this week’s matchup?

Here are the odds via WynnBET:

Jets vs. Texans Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Jets +2.5 (-110)
  • Texans -2.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Jets: +130

Jets vs. Texans Prediction and Pick

There’s a lot of uncertainty around the Jets right now with running back Michael Carter reportedly out a few weeks and the quarterback situation up in the air.

Even if Zach Wilson plays, it’s hard to view him as an upgrade given his struggles this season, so I’m going to back the home team in Houston at -2.5.

Tyrod Taylor has won two games this season in just a handful of starts this season, and I think he can lead the Texans to a win over a Jets team that allows the most yards per play in the NFL.

Pick: Texans -2.5 (-110)
