John Deere Classic Hole-in-One Odds (Will Someone Record an Ace at TPC Deere Run?)
By Peter Dewey
The PGA Tour shifts to TPC Deere Run this week with a lighter field participating in the John Deere Classic.
The John Deere Classic has been a place where golfers can usually go low, but we’re focusing on one thing today: Will a golfer make a hole-in-one?
There are four Par 3 holes at TPC Deere Run, with two of them coming in at less than 200 yards.
Here are the odds for a hole-in-one to happen at the John Deere Classic, as well as my best bet:
John Deere Classic Hole-in-One Odds
Since John Deere took over sponsoring this event in 1999, there have been 23 hole-in-ones on the course.
However, recent history suggests that it’s not as common as the odds are showing.
While “Yes” to a hole-in-one is favored, there have been just five hole-in-ones at TPC Deere Run since 2014. Four of those came in the last two years with Patrick Rodgers and Kevin Streelman picking up aces in 2022 and David Hearn and Maverick McNealy completing the feat in 2021.
Prior to 2021, there hadn’t been a hole-in-one at TPC Deere Run since Charles Howell III in 2014.
There’s really only two holes that make a ton of sense for a hole-in-one, No. 3 and No. 16.
- Hole 3: 183 yards
- Hole 7: 226 yards
- Hole 12: 215 yards
- Hole 16: 158 yards
Even with the recent success, I’m going to take a shot on the “No” for a hole-in-one at this week’s tournament.
