Second year quarterback Justin Herbert and the Chargers are set to host rookie quarterback Mac Jones and the Patriots in NFL Week 8 action. This will be the first meeting between the two quarterbacks who are sure to be prominent faces in the NFL for years to come.

The Chargers are set as 5.5-point home favorites in the game, but let's take a look at the players props available for these two players. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Mac Jones: 240.5 yards (Over -115/Under -115)

Mac Jones and the Patriots offense was simple and conservative through the first few weeks, but it seems like Bill Belichick is beginning to open up the playbook as Jones becomes more comfortable. Over their last three games, Jones is averaging more yards per pass attempt than he had in any of the Pats' first four games.

Against the Cowboys in Week 6, Jones averaged 10.9 yards per pass attempt, his season high. With that being said, I'm going to take the UNDER on his passing yards prop in this game due to the Chargers defensive strengths. They rank 9th in opponent yards per pass attempt (6.5), but rank dead last in the NFL in opponent yards per rush attempt (5.4). Look for New England to rely on the run game on Sunday.

Justin Herbert: 292.5 yards (Over -115/Under -115)

The reigning offensive rookie of the year has got off to a hot start in his sophomore season in the NFL. His only dud performance came in a Week 6 loss against the Ravens, but him and the Chargers recovered during their Week 7 BYE and are ready to come out swinging in Week 8.

Herbert has surpassed 292.5 passing yards in three of his six games so far this season, and I'm going to take the OVER on his passing yards prop on Sunday. The Patriots rank 19th in the NFL in opponent yards per pass attempt at 7.0. That's a high average considering four of their seven games have come against the Texans, Dolphins, and Jets (twice).

If Davis Mills can throw for 312 yards against this defense, I'm going to trust Justin Herbert to be able to do the same.
