Kansas City Weather Will Feel Like a Beach Vacation for Buffalo in Bills vs. Chiefs

In the Wild Card Round, the Buffalo Bills played host to the New England Patriots (albeit not a very gracious host with the way they drubbed them) in a bitterly cold game in Western New York.

It was around 0 degrees with a wind chill that pushed it down into the negatives, but even the cold couldn’t slow down the Buffalo offense. The weather will still be cold in Buffalo's divisional round matchup, but it’ll feel downright balmy for the visiting Bills in Kansas City this weekend.

Kansas City Forecast Is 29 Degrees at Kickoff

Football weather, baby. It’s slated to be 29 degrees at kickoff in Kansas City on Sunday night, which is nothing compared to the weather up in Buffalo. Western New York is getting hammered with snow today, having already seen roughly six inches with another 10 inches on the way. The Patriots game narrowly dodged being a snowy spectacle.

Chiefs and Bills Can Score a Lot

These two teams seem to be able to score a lot of points, no matter what the thermostat says. Both of these teams are coming off games where they put up over 40 points in open-air games with Kansas City’s temperature hovering around freezing.

The Chiefs and the Bills have two of the best offenses in the NFL this year. In fact, the two teams tied with 57 total touchdowns on offense through the regular season, which was tied for fourth-most.

Kansas City averaged 396.8 total yards of offense per game (third-most), while Buffalo averaged 381.9 (fifth-most). These offenses can move the ball and score in a variety of ways, and that should continue in the divisional round.

WynnBET Sportsbook has the total in this game set at 55 points, the highest of the games in the divisional round.

This will be the first playoff game in NFL history where both quarterbacks threw for five touchdowns in the previous round. Expect a high-scoring affair, as long as the wind and the precipitation stays away.
