In a rematch of a wild contest in which Kansas overcame a 16-point second-half deficit to win by three, the 16-2 #5 Jayhawks hope for an easy victory tonight when they host the 14-12 Kansas State Wildcats tonight at 8:00 PM CST.

The Jayhawks have won five of six and covered the spread in four of those while the Wildcats have covered in five of their last six, so where does the value lie for bettors tonight?

Kansas State vs Kansas Prediction and Pick

Kansas State seemed to play their absolute best game in the first matchup, getting a career-high 35 points from Nijel Pack and putting up 50 points in the first-half, and still lost. That's the kind of gutting loss that can make it feel like you can't ever slay the dragon. And now the Wildcats get to play in Allen Fieldhouse as they try to finish the job. Good luck.

In the last three games at Allen Fieldhouse between these two teams, Kansas has won by 23, 21, and 15 points. The Jayhawks are just different when they host Kansas State and after the dramatic finish in Manhattan, I expect Kansas to run all over their rivals.

The Jayhawks are just 3-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last eight home games, but seem to have turned a corner with a 13-point win over West Virginia in Morgantown and a 14-point home win over Oklahoma State in their last two games.

Kansas State is no easy opponent, though. They're an impressive 7-2 ATS on the road and 10-3 ATS as an underdog. But with only three home games left for Kansas' seniors, you can bet Bill Self will have the Jayhawks ready to roll.

The Jayhawks shot just 5/21 from beyond the arc in the first matchup, well below their season average of 35.5%. We can expect some positive shooting regression at home and it'll be tough for the Wildcats to replicate Pack's offensive explosion. They scored just 25 points in the second-half as Kansas turned up the defensive pressure and I think we'll see that for 40 minutes tonight.

Give me the Jayhawks to cover their third straight and send their seniors off with one last dominant home win over their rival.

Pick: Kansas -12 (-110)
